Thinking about picking up a new hobby. Wanting to know a couple things. When would be a good time to come check things out? Also if I got into it but wouldn't have a team how hard is it to join a game or get to know some people and maybe play a tournament or something like that?

Welcome, I am glad you are looking at playing.
A good time to come and check things out or even play a bit would be.
Sunday, April 17th - FREE PAINTBALL! Rentals? FREE! Field Fee? FREE! AIR? FREE! CO2? MOSTLY FREE! PAINT? NOT A CHANCE! Paintballs will be a flat rate of $15/bag with optional upgrades. CO2 is limited to one free fill per bag of paint purchased by that player. Runs from 11 to 5 only. All players must participate in open play to get this offer. This is not open to private groups.
There will be a lot of new players and it could be a very fun day, It will be a cheap day as well. As far as team ball, We generally have practice every weekend or every other, New players are welcome to come and see and play. Everyone is very easy going and helpful. I will let you know prices when they have been figured out.
If you are interested in tournament play (Seriously) come out and practice and see if you like it.

No worries if you don't have anyone to go with you. Just go and have fun! I lost probably over 10 years due to waiting for a group of friends to go. LOL The refs split everyone up right off the bat and rotate players as needed if one team is dominating the other. Just follow the rules and have fun! Oh and do not get discouraged if you get shot out a lot in the beginning, it happens to all of us!

I had a similar experience. I kept trying to get family to go out and play, but they almost always had to do something else. I felt that I loved the sport too much to not go. All the regulars and employees are always very welcoming.
