Sounds like fun, but I currently cannot committo anything till at least the deck I is built.
Also when I say markers that can not keep up, I'm not talking about Tiberius, you and I both know they very accurate and you do not need to unload on people to get them out. I'm talking about the old Tippmanns with the stock barrels that throw paint all over instead of the straight path the rest of us have come to know.
Wanted to get out and play real bad yesterday but my oldest has been working on her her ATV safety permit which she finished Friday so she was begging to go riding instead.

I've enjoyed reading this discussion. I wish I had the answers, resources, time, and money to grant the wishes on all woods lovers. My favorite games for many years were the 30 minute capture games in the woods.
Soger messaged me about helping build up the woods field again. Mike had plans for this but his life is busier than ever and its been on the back burner. Brock and Benny are also interested in doing something. We are shooting for October to rebuild the woods. I know several of the team players will help. We'll have to plan dates soon. More to come.

I will reschedule what I can to help out! As far as Mike, I know a while back he really wanted to put a lot more into the Woodsball field and was hoping for us to start an Honest Self- ref'ed Woodsball group. The problem was this was back when I worked Help Desk at St. Luke's, my shifts were all over the place, and my cash flow was extremely minimal. Would be nice to rejuvinate those woods! and get a group together.

I will reschedule what I can to help out! Would be nice to rejuvinate those woods! and get a group together. All I need is a time, date, and someone with an idea for how to "fix" the woods. I will do what I can to get bodies out for grunt work. I know that joey and myself work Mon-friday so weekends much easier to get people to go out and work. Also what needs to be done out in the woods? Haven't been out there for at least 2 years, is it just clearing or did stuff break/fall apart? ****Living Legend Alert**** I will be playing again this weekend I am doing my best to get some people together for some Pre-BBQ paintball. So far I got 3 for sures and about 11 "probablies" you know paintball math...

I sometimes wrestle an anaconda, unless my wife is awake. For your other post: It is going to be saturday unless that doesn't work for the field. (i.e. big private group so no extra refs) As for time I have a BBQ scheduled at my house at around 5:30 so I guess before then I am guessing around 11:00ish. As always this could fall through completely because you know paintballitis is a real thing.

Don't mind me as I'm stuck at my house with my young family. But what needs to be done before "just hitting te woods". Is a plan... A plan that is staked width. Length. And build something that you can take 30 people out there to play on. Not a 100 acres. And say good luck finding someone. It just needs to be thought out. My life as a sp rat started in the older junkyard before spool walls. And woods fields thy had trails. Chicken mesh bunkers with scrap wood tossed in. Brush piles. And what not. Some bunkers here an there. It just needs to be thought out. And plotted out. Levi out

I just do not have the "vision" needed to make a playable field. Yeah I can go to the junkyard and see how to effectively play any bunker; but I can't make bunkers in an design that is fun to be played. Hence why I will bring people once someone with that abilitiy shows up. If there is brainless grunt work: clearing brush, fallen tress, or removing refuse I will do that on my own on my time as I don't need guidence for that and I really like doing that sort of work as it helps me not be fat. So I guess I will just go for a nature walk next time I am at the field and take a look.

Would be nice to have both castles in play and 1 to 2 other mini base/flags. Then we need to do some clearing here and there. I too will have to go for a walk out there and see how far the "castles" are apart. We played a private field with maybe 20 players, 2 bases, to swing bases on probably a 5+acre field. It was a blast! Loved that field. Unfortunately the land sold next to it and the play area had to move. Now it seams cramped and I could cover a lot of that field with a good First Strike marker. Still fun but miss the jog accross the previous one. Our Woodsball field as SP could almost be setup as 2 seperate fields when player count is low then open it up for big games. again it is going to need some use and some clearing but I think we have enough people interested to make it happen.

Honestly, the first thing that really needs to be rebuilt, guys, is the bridge. You can't move the big stuff over the existing foot bridge.

I've been pretty busy too but I'd be all for a work day soon here on a weekend. I got a couple chainsaws if needed.
I think the village castle idea would be cool in the woods. One on each end. Only thing is who has a way of getting old plywood and materials? Anybody?
